Theatre Writing Partnership is delighted to be working with Belton House as part of the Breath of Fresh Air project. We’ll be working closely with a talented writer to explore the grounds with volunteers, local school children and families over the summer, and what we discover will inform an interactive audio drama, that all the family can take part in. Watch this space to keep track of our progress.

What is Breath of Fresh Air?
‘Breath of Fresh Air ‘ is an East Midlands partnership supporting a range of cultural activities promoting a deeper understanding of environmental sustainability, health and well-being.
12 of the region’s green spaces, nature reserves and heritage sites are involved; all enjoying this opportunity to engage their audience in new ways. Host sites will be encouraging people to get active, take pleasure their local natural environment, volunteer and learn new skills.
A selection of artists and practitioners enthused by the objectives of Breath of Fresh Air will devise artworks and workshops specific to the locations, inviting visitors and community groups to appreciate these sites as sources of inspiration.
Breath of Fresh Air events and activities are linked directly to the East Midlands Cultural Olympiad and will take place 2010 – 2012.
