Theatre Writing Partnership has good relationships with lots of organisations across the East Midlands and beyond (see our links to access writers, companies and initiatives that we rate). We also have formal partnerships with companies that want to invest in development schemes that support the new theatre writing ecology, and with whom we produce the Momentum festival and other productions.

Curve, Leicester

Curve is the flagship theatre in the centre of Leicester. Purpose built, with an ethos of openess and transparency, Curve opened its doors in the Autumn of 2008.

Derby LIVE

Derby LIVE delivers performing arts in the City of Derby, programming  three venues and four auditoria and now working closely with the University of Derby to reinvigorate the Derby Theatre.

Eastern Angles Theatre Company

Eastern Angles has a remarkable and long history of producing quality theatre and touring to rural venues across the East of England. Eastern Angles worked with TWP on Writers’ Lab, and will be producing ‘Palm Wine and Stout’ by Segun Lee French in October 2010.

Lakeside Arts Centre

Lakeside is the University of Nottingham’s unique public arts centre presenting an eclectic programme of music, dance, theatre, visual art and family events all year round.

New Perspectives Theatre Company

New Perspectives tours the very best new theatre writing into arts, community and education spaces in towns and villages in the East Midlands.New Perspectives worked with us on Writers’ Lab, and will be producing one of the pieces developed in 2011.

Nottingham Playhouse

Nottingham Playhouse boasts a 750 seat auditorium and produces a varied programme of varied theatre that supports its international reputation. Nottingham Playhouse is working with TWP to host the 2010 John Whiting Award. In the Spring of 2011, Nottingham Playhouse will be hosting the European Theatre Convention.

Royal and Derngate, Northampton

Royal & Derngate is the main venue for arts and entertainment in Northampton. Recently the subject of a £15 million redevelopment project, the theatre offers two auditoria and Underground, a creativity centre that’s home to the Youth Theatre and a wide range of workshops and projects for the local community.
